Marketing services
We can market your shows on our website, in our e-newsletter, in our foyers and on or around our building. We can include your flyers with other tickets that we post – all at no extra cost.
We can also produce posters and large banners to hang outside the venue. Contact our Front of House Manager for information about pricing.
Your marketing material should contain the following information:
- Company name eg, Prospect Dance Collective
- Show title eg, The Diary of Anne Frank
- Performance dates, times and any variations or additions to these eg, 14-30 June 2011, Tuesday to Saturday at 8pm
- Name and address of venue ie:
Maidment Theatre, 8 Alfred Street, Auckland*
or
Musgrove Studio, Corner Princes & Alfred Streets, Auckland*

* Venue names – please use either:
- ‘Maidment Theatre, The University of Auckland’ or ‘Maidment Theatre’.
- ‘Musgrove Studio, The University of Auckland’ or ‘Musgrove Studio’. Please do not promote the Musgrove Studio as ‘Musgrove Studio, Maidment Theatre’.
Online ticket sales are available around the clock.
To get your event online we need:

A digital image:
- preferably without text on the image
- in any of the following formats: .jpg, .tif, .eps, .png, .PDF, .psd or .bmp
- no smaller than 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels high
- no less than 72 dpi (ie web-standard resolution)
- Press release (or similar).

- we can update this at any time
- we also need to know if your show has an interval
- Your website, logo and any sponsor logos (if applicable)
- Any other audience information regarding the content of a performance eg, language may offend, not suitable for children etc.
NB: shows will not be loaded onto the website or booking system until we have received a signed contract and ticketing form.

Our e-newsletter on stage is emailed to approximately 8,000 subscribers every six to seven weeks.
Images and information are taken from the website.
If you would like to include a special promotion or offer for our newsletter subscribers please contact the Ticketing Co-ordinator.
We have digital screens located in both foyer spaces. This gives you the opportunity to market your event to audiences of other shows and visitors to our box office.
To maximise the impact of your event on these screens we recommend:
- A show image without text or your logo.
- A landscape image no smaller than 1280 pixels wide and 768 pixels high.
- Image resolution of 300 dpi.
- Image formats - .jpg, .tif, .eps, .png, .PDF, .psd or .bmp.
If you can’t meet these specifications we will adapt your image to fit the display.

We have three designated spaces for your posters:

Outside the main foyer:
- minimum size is A3.

Outside the Musgrove Studio entrance:
- minimum size is A3.

Princes Street display box:
- minimum size is A1, but we recommend A0. This box is equipped with lights, so your poster can be seen at night also.
NB: placement of posters is at our discretion and subject to availability.
