A tale, a folklore, a story untold,
Of friendship, of courage and how it unfolds,
The story surrounds this wonderful pill,
Whose power is not just a run of the mill,
A pill that's worth its weight in gold,
A pill that will never make you turn old,
But be warned my friends and take great heed,
For it will punish anyone's greed,
As soon as you mess with the powers above,
You'll forever be forbidden from the ones you love.

An adaptation of the Chinese legendary folk tale, the story surrounds Chang Er, a kind and caring young woman who faces many trials and tribulations that bestowed her village. Amidst the chaos surrounding her life, she manages to find love. The story loosely integrates the comical plots of famous ancient folktales such as Journey to the West, Chang Er Ben Yue and Hou Yi She Ri. Join us for a fun filled night of dances, singing and drama where we unveil the legendary Chinese folktale of Chang Er and how she flew to the moon.

This show is brought to you by the Performing Arts Workshop (PAW), a voluntary organisation for everyday people to experience the joys of performing arts. We are a non-profit organisation supported by numerous individuals and organisations.
