The Musgrove Studio foyer is accessed through swing doors which are kept open prior to performances and during intervals (entrance width 180cm). The foyer includes a combined box office and bar counter which is 106.5cm high.
The bar opens 90 minutes before the start of the performance and during intervals. The bar menu and drinks list are on display at the bar.
See food and beverages for more information.
There is couch seating and bar stools inside the foyer and bench seating outside.
The toilets are situated in the Maidment Theatre foyer. There are wheelchair accessible toilets in the ladies (inward opening external door width 80cm, internal slide door width 76cm) and mens toilets (outward opening external door width 76cm, internal slide door width 76cm).
To access the toilets from the Musgrove Studio there are three options:
-
The flattest route is via the lift.
To find the lift, exit the studio foyer and go straight ahead with the Maidment building on your left. Continue between the NZ Natural shop and MAXX Transport ticket outlet until you find the lift on your left (distance from studio to lift approx 58m). Take the lift down to Level One. On exiting the lift take a sharp left turn onto the red brick tiles and follow these around the corner of the building until you reach the entrance to the Maidment Theatre (distance from lift approx 46m)
-
Another alternative (in good weather) is to use the footpath. On exiting the studio foyer turn right and follow the building around Princes Street and then onto Alfred Street. Continue down Alfred Street until you reach the Maidment Theatre entrance (total distance approx 107m).
Please note: Alfred Street has a gradient and can be uneven.
- The most direct route is via the stairs from the Quad level. Exit the studio foyer and continue straight ahead with the Maidment building on your left. Before you reach the end of the building there is an entrance to the Maidment Theatre on your left (distance from studio foyer approx 36m). Take the stairs down to the Maidment Theatre foyer. The stairs have handrails (17 steps).
If you need assistance please ask a staff member.
Row A has flat access from the foyer. Row A, seats 1-6, as indicated in orange on the seating plan, can be removed to provide space for wheelchairs or mobility scooters with an adjacent companion seat (subject to availability). If you require room for a wheelchair/mobility scooter please contact our box office and we will book this for you.
Please note: there are stairs (with handrails) leading to all other seating rows in the studio.
